Replace a part across all Bills of Materials

Steps to replace a raw material or component across all Bills of Materials (BOMs) in one action.

You can replace a raw material or component across all your Bills of Materials at once using the Blanket Replace of Part screen. This avoids the need to update each BOM individually.

⚠️Important: We recommend testing this process in a test company first to confirm you are happy with the results before running it in your live environment.

Replace a part across all BOMs

  1. Click Stock in the menu.

  2. Click BoM Updates.

  3. From the dropdown, select Replace a Part (All Bills). This opens the Blanket Replace of Part screen.

  4. Enter the part you want to replace in the Replaced Part field.

  5. Enter the new part in the Replacement Part field, including the Revision if required.

  6. Click Save.
