User has not got enough future period posting privileges to post to period

I trying to allocate invoices in the purchase ledger but getting the message 'User x has not got enough future period posting privileges to post to period n' where x is my User ID and n is the period selected

Access Supply Chain allows transactions to be posted up to 23 periods ahead of the current one, up to the end of the next financial year. Future posting permissions are maintained in the security profiles, and the message means that your profile does not have sufficient permission to post this far ahead.#

This can be amended by an administrator with access to the System area as follows:

  1. In System, select Security Profile.

  2. Highlight the appropriate Security Profile.

  3. Click Multiple Period Posting in the ribbon above.

  4. Edit and then select the options required (up to a maximum of 23 Periods Ahead)

  5. Click the Save icon to confirm or the red X to cancel
