Some older versions of Access Supply Chain are affected by an issue with the Nominal Year End Process. The problem relates to versions from 7.2.2 to 7.2.15 inclusive and will manifest itself with incorrect Cashbook balances, and searches in the Nominal Transaction Enquiry window not returning the expected data when searching by Year.

The problem only affects transactions posted before the Year End process was run and so it is acceptable to continue processing once it has been found, although it may be necessary for users to log out while the fix is applied.

A fix for the issue this is available and can be applied by a member of the Access Supply Chain Ledgers Support Team.

Taking the steps below will reduce the time it takes to fix the data:

  • Take a backup of the data from after the year end and restore it to the SQL Server under a different name for testing purposes - this will allow the fix to be tested without affecting the Manufacturing and Ledgers processes.

  • Ensure that the backup taken directly before the year end process was run is available for restore or comparison if required by the Support Analyst.

  • Ensure that a connection to the SQL Server is available for the Support Analyst to use for the testing.

  • Please raise a new case online reference the title of this article and include the version of Access Supply Chain in use.
