Access Supply Chain: Error: Resolving the "Mixed mode assembly" error when processing documents in ADM in Supply Chain

Fix the "Mixed mode assembly is built against version V1.1.4322" error when processing documents in ADM in Supply Chain by updating the Supply Chain configuration file.

Symptoms

When you attempt to process documents within ADM in Supply Chain, you may see the following error:

"Mixed mode assembly is built against version 'V1.1.4322' of the runtime and cannot be loaded in the 4.0 run-time without additional configuration information"

This additional configuration can be completed by your IT department or System Administrator on your local machine using the steps below.

Steps

  1. Open your Supply Chain installation folder. By default, this is typically located at:
    ​C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\ASC7.2.2\Client Application

  2. Locate the file SupplyChain.exe.config.

  3. Right-click and make a copy of it. In case you have problems with the changes, you can put the old version back in place.

  4. Right-click the file and select Open With, then choose Notepad or another suitable text editor.

  5. Near the bottom of the file, locate the following startup tag: <startup>

  6. Change it to: <startup useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy="true">

  7. Then save the file.
