When running a report in Access Supply Chain, you may see one of the following errors:
A message stating that a connection cannot be made to the SQL server, or that the server cannot be found, followed by an ODBC login prompt.
A Failed to open the connection error message.
These errors are typically caused by the MadiSunSQL ODBC data source not having been created during a new client installation. You'll need to create this data source manually on the affected machine to resolve the issue.
⚠️Important: You will need the Supply Chain SQL Server name, Login ID, and password to complete these steps. If you do not have these details, contact the person who performed the client installation, as they will have the connection details.

To create the missing ODBC data source, follow these steps on the affected machine.

Server: Enter the Supply Chain SQL Server name.
Select SQL Server authentication and enter the Login ID and password.
Leave the next window at its default settings and click Next.
Leave the following window at its default settings and click Finish.
Click Test Data Source to verify the connection has been set up correctly.
Click OK to complete the process.
📌Note: If the data source test fails, double-check the server name, Login ID, and password with the person who performed the client installation.
