If you receive an ASLMFNET Semaphore error when running an ASC option on a single client machine
β
On a computer that doesn't produce the error:
Open Control Panel and click System.
Click Advanced System Settings. A System Properties window appears.
At the bottom, click Environment Variables... .
Find and select ASLMFNET and make a note of the value.
On the computer that does produce the error:
Repeat the steps above and check the value for ASLMFNET.
If different, amend the value to be the same as the computer that works.
If the value is the same, check on this computer that you can open up that folder in File Explorer.
If the folder can't be opened, refer to your IT for permissions to that folder.
If it is not working for any Client Machines, it is likely that the server has either been renamed or given a new IP address.
Check that you can log into ASC on the Supply Chain Server if that is OK proceed with the steps below
On all machines that have the issue:
Open Control Panel and click System.
Click Advanced System Settings. A System Properties window appears.
At the bottom, click Environment Variables... .
Find and select ASLMFNET and make a note of the value.
Make sure that the machine can open that file location
If not correct the path in the ASLMFNET variable and ensure that client pc can open the file location. It should be in the server ASC installation folder / licensing usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications .
In that file location run aslmpclocate.exe as administrator
