How to apply a new license

Applying new licenses to Access Supply Chain

This is done in 2 places, the unlock file that needs to be applied to the database and details need to be added within licensing in the Access Supply Chain Client.

Once the unlock file is saved, log in to the Supply Chain Administrator to apply it.
​Note: This can only be done when all users are logged out of the database.

  1. From the Database menu on the ribbon select Unlock Keys.

  2. Click on the New Unlock Key option on the ribbon and then browse to the location that the .unlock file is saved.

  3. Click Open once the file is found and the new unlock will then appear in the Unlock Key List.

  4. This unlock now needs to be applied to the database(s)

  5. From the Database menu on the ribbon select Databases.

  6. Highlight the relevant database and then select Unlock on the ribbon.

  7. Select Un-Assign from Database, and this will remove the current unlock.

  8. Select Unlock again, and this time choose Assign to Database.

  9. Double-click the new unlock and this will be applied to the database.

Once logged into Supply Chain, use the Navigator Menu to:

  1. Select System Tab.

  2. Click on Maintenance.

  3. Open the Licence option.

  4. A new window will open.

  5. Check that the Company Name, Modules, No. of modules and No. of users is correct and then click on the Save icon to open up the Licence Key field.

  6. Enter the correct Licence Key and the and then press the Save icon again.
