📌Note: This article applies when the issue affects all users. If only a single user is experiencing the problem, this guidance does not apply.

If all users are affected, the issue is likely caused by a problem with the Access Supply Chain services. Your internal IT team, System Manager, or third-party support should be able to restart the services to resolve this.

If your IT team cannot restart the services, or restarting does not fix the issue, please raise this with the Support team as a critical issue.

Symptoms

You may experience one or more of the following:

  • All users are unable to log into the system and receive the following error:

⚠️Warning: Could not connect to net.tcp://localhost:65112/LogonService

  • All users are unable to run Purchase Invoicing, Sales Orders, or Purchase Orders from within ASC.

  • Manufacturing options will not load.

Restart the Access Supply Chain services

⚠️Important: Log all users out of the system before proceeding. If users remain logged in when the services are stopped, data corruption may occur.

To restart the Access Supply Chain services:

  1. Ensure all users are logged out of the system.

  2. Connect to the server where Access Supply Chain runs.

  3. Press Win + R to open the Run window. In the Open field, enter Services.msc, then click OK. The Services window opens.

  4. Select Access Supply Chain Server X.X.X, then click Stop.

  5. Select Micro Focus CCITCP2 daemon, then click Stop.

  6. Select Micro Focus Licence Manager, then click Stop.

  7. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del and select Task Manager.

  8. Open the Details tab.

  9. Find any instances of the following processes, select each one, and click End Task:

    • AccessAccounts.Accounts.Server.exe

    • ASCXX.EXE (the number may vary, for example ASC72.EXE)

    • CBLEXECS.EXE

    • NETLAUNCH.EXE

    • SupplyChain.EXE

  10. Return to the Services window.

  11. Select Micro Focus Licence Manager, then click Start.

  12. Select Micro Focus CCITCP2 daemon, then click Start.

  13. Select Access Supply Chain Server, then click Start.

  14. Select Access NFP Server - vX.X.X.X, then click Start.

Users should now be able to log in.

Other possible causes

If restarting the services does not resolve the issue, consider the following additional causes:

  • Network or connectivity issues — general networking problems on the server may be preventing users from connecting.

  • Conflicting software — software installed on the server that conflicts with Access Supply Chain can cause this issue. A known example is LogMeIn Hamachi.
