If it is a single user having the issue the following does not apply

The problems that can occur:

  • All users are not able to log into the system they are likely to get the error message
    Could not connect to net.tcp://localhost:65112/LogonService

  • All Users are having issues running Purchase Invoicing, Sales Orders or Purchase Orders from within the ASC application. Manufacturing options will not load.

The chances are that its a problem with Access Supply Chain Services

Your Internal IT / System Manager or Third Party support should be able to restart the Services.
If either your IT cannot do this or this doesn't fix the issue, this will need to come to the support team as a critical issue.

To restart the Access Supply Chain services:

  1. Log all users out of the system. Important Note: If users are logged into the system when the services are stopped, data corruption may occur.

  2. Connect to the server where Access Supply Chain runs.

  3. Press Win + R, to bring up the Run window. In the Open field, enter 'Services.msc'.

  4. Click OK. The Services window appears.

  5. Select Access Supply Chain Server X.X.X, click Stop.

  6. Select Micro Focus CCITCP2 daemon, click Stop.

  7. Select Micro Focus Licence Manager, click Stop.

  8. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and select Task Manager.

  9. Open the Details tab.

  10. Find any instances of the following, select them, and click End task: AccessAccounts.Accounts.Server.exe; ASCXX.EXE (the number after this may vary slightly, e.g. ASC72.EXE); CBLEXECS.EXE; NETLAUNCH.EXE; SupplyChain.EXE

  11. Return to the Services window.

  12. Select Micro Focus Licence Manager, click Start.

  13. Select Micro Focus CCITCP2 daemon, click Start.

  14. Select Access Supply Chain Server, click Start.

  15. Select Access NFP Server - vX.X.X.X, click Start. It should now be possible to log in

This may also be caused by general networking/ connectivity Issues.

Another cause could be that software that conflicts with Access Supply Chain has been installed on the server, an example is listed below, one such example is LogMeIn Hamachi.
